Tahawus NY

Working in -10 weather I pushed the limits of the gear and myself, whom is more acclimated to the 85 + Degree weather of Miami. When getting a call to photograph a casino in upstate NY in February, I immediately saw the opportunity to use this to springboard myself into another project. With a little research I found an abandoned mine town high up in the Adirondack mountains which was fairly easy to access and photograph. Although I had set 2 nights aside we had to photograph both structures in one, as a blizzard was rolling through the next day, and we needed to make sure we were out of there! So with the generator humming and laptop shooting we executed shots up until about 2 in the morning.

First shot of the evening of a dilapidated home.

This blast furnace image was shot from a precipice of about 30 feet which had to be traversed up and down for each change of the lighting.
